Stages

The stages provide a remarkable level of flexibility. The quality of Czech set construction is world renowned relying on the skills of local artisans who utilize traditional techniques some of which are now lost to western film making to say nothing of the cost savings.

Recent projects have seen the stages accommodate a large water tank 25 m x 15 m x 2 m (82 ft x 49 ft x 6.5 ft) containing 750 cubic meters of water created for the feature film, "Triple X". The Emmy® award winning series "Dune" required the creation of huge sand dunes, vast deserts and exotic palaces; all accommodated by transforming Prague Studios. For our other Emmy Emmy® award winning series "Anne Frank", ( "Best TV Mini Series" ), the streets of wartime Amsterdam came alive under our roof.

Stage 2 shares a common wall with Stage 1 and is divided into three large sections. The lower ceiling height lends itself to a multitude of different uses including a construction prep area, a staging area for extras and storage areas. In addition, the stage has served well for insert stage and cover sets.

Stage 5 dimensions: 30m x60m x 12 m
(99ft x 196 ft x 39 ft).

The floor of the building has a 2.1 m (7 ft) depression below ground level. Each of the stages has access to production office and support space as well as freshly renovated service areas.
